Welcome to the Manalapan Englishtown Regional Schools Response to Intervention web page! Response to Intervention (RTI) has been implemented in our schools as a multi-tiered approach to the identification and support of struggling students. Currently, Reading RTI procedures have been implemented with fidelity, while Math RTI procedures continue to be developed.
The RTI process begins with high-quality, differentiated core classroom instruction and screening of all students. Struggling learners are provided with interventions at increasing levels of intensity, which are documented in their RTI Intervention Plans. Progress is monitored to assess their rate of learning and response to intervention, and to guide instructional decisions.
Parents are involved throughout the RTI process. Information regarding instruction and interventions, data and benchmark levels, academic goals, and progress is provided to the parents at each tier through phone calls, letters, or meetings. A Tier 3 Intervention Plan will also include a home intervention component.
