What are Touch points? Touch points are a useful tool to help students with counting on and counting back. They can be used to skip count as well. Each number 1-9 have dots or touch points that are equal to the specific number.
For example, 1 has one touch point.
How do you use Touch points? When adding more than one digit, always start with the greater number. Then touch and count the points on the additional numbers.
For example: 5 + 3. Start at 5 then add 3 by touching each point on the 3 and counting up 6, 7, 8.
