MERS ESSA Needs Assessment Survey - Community Input Requested

Dear MERS Community:

The Manalapan-Englishtown Regional School District greatly appreciates the support of our residents, families, staff, and students.  We seek continuous improvement and to provide the best educational opportunities for our students.  To do so, we need your help and assistance.

Our school district is conducting a Needs Assessment Survey which is essential in developing our district’s Every Student Succeeds Act (ESSA) plan for the 2025-2026 school  year.  The Every Student Succeeds Act (ESSA) was passed by the U.S. Congress and signed into law on December 10, 2015. The ESSA replaces No Child Left Behind and is the latest reauthorization of the Elementary and Secondary Education Act (ESEA). This survey meets the stakeholder engagement requirements for developing and implementing the district’s ESEA plan while providing your input.

The survey is designed to help us assess our strengths and areas of needed improvement, with a focus on improved student achievement.  We would like your input in four areas:

  • Title I, Part A: Determining areas for improving teaching and learning for economically disadvantaged students.

  • Title II, Part A: Determining priority areas for professional development for staff in the content areas.

  • Title II, Part A: Determining priority areas for the district in terms of professional development for staff in evidence-based activities and strategies.

  • Title III: Determining priority areas for the district to support ELL and Immigrant students.

  • Title IV: Determining priority areas for the district in terms of student support and academic enrichment.

We appreciate your time and input, and we thank you in advance for completing the survey!
