Dear Parents/Guardians:

You are invited to attend our annual Back-to-School Night on Tuesday, September 24th to meet your child’s teacher and to learn about his/her program.  In an attempt to allow parents/guardians with children in more than one grade-level the opportunity to visit with each teacher and to increase availability of parking, we will stagger our plans for the evening.

At 6:05 PM, parents/guardians of third grade students are asked to arrive at Milford Brook School and to report to the gymnasium for a special presentation from Dr. Marciante and Mrs. Cindy Cimino which will commence promptly at 6:10 PM.

At 6:30 PM, a session for parents/guardians of third, fourth, and fifth graders, as well as the parents/guardians of Ms. Kenneally’s students, will commence with classroom teacher presentations in your child’s homeroom.  This session will conclude at 7:00 PM.

Kindergarten, first, and second grade parents/guardians, as well as the parents/guardians of Ms. Brandt’s students, Ms. Mason’s students, and Mrs. Sanchez’s students are invited to begin the evening at 7:30 PM in their child’s homeroom.  This portion of the evening will end at 8:00 PM.

Support teachers/personnel (Music, Art, Physical Education, Librarian, Speech teachers, RTI Reading and Mathematics teachers, Resource Room teachers, ESL teachers, CST, OT teacher and our Nurse) will be in their rooms from 7:00-7:30 pm for all parents/guardians of students in grades K – 5 to visit with if you would like to meet them.

Available parking areas for parents/guardians at Milford Brook will include the main parking lot in front of the building and up the street on Globar Terrace.  Parking at the rear of the building is reserved for school staff only.  Please refrain from parking on any grass surrounding the school or surrounding the parking lots.  Such is not permitted. Please be courteous to our neighbors and not block their driveways if you choose to park on the streets around our school.

We hope to see you Tuesday, September 24th. Please remember that the purpose of the evening is for you to meet your child's teacher(s) and to become familiar with the program.  The teachers have been advised not to discuss individual students at this time. If you need to discuss your individual child’s needs, please set up a separate meeting or conference on another date/time with your child’s teacher. This is an evening for parents/guardians only.  Students/siblings will not be permitted to attend Back-to-School Night.

**This teacher shares time with another school or multiple grade levels and may not be available on Back to School Night.  If you wish to have the teacher call you, please leave your name and telephone number on the sign-up sheet on the Main Office counter.

Again, I hope everyone had a relaxing and enjoyable summer, and I look forward to a school year filled with positive educational experiences for all!
