New Student (Gr. 1-5 ONLY) Orientation is August 28th.

August 2019

Dear Parents/Guardians of New Students in Grades 1-5:

Welcome to Milford Brook School!  In order to help prepare you and your child for the exciting first day of school, we will be hosting new student orientation on Wednesday, August 28th at 10:00 AM.  Getting comfortable with your school surroundings can help ensure that the first day of school is one filled with smiles and success.

Your child and one parent or adult will have the opportunity to visit and learn about the school. Please understand that if you are unable to attend this orientation there will not be another opportunity to visit the classroom as the school will be closed for final classroom cleanings and preparations.

Below are the guidelines for orientation:

  1. In order to accommodate all students and visitors, only one adult may accompany each child.  Please do not bring other children/siblings to the visit.  We will not admit visitors with additional children to the classrooms.
  2. Park in the school/visitor parking lot located in the front/side of the school in a designated parking space.  Pleas refrain from parking on the grassy areas. Additionally, you may park on Globar Terrace, but please be courteous of our neighbors and not block mailboxes or driveways.
  3. You will enter through the school’s main entrance.  Once inside, you will be directed where to go.

In August, you will receive information regarding our lunch system, Cafeteria PaySchools Central; creating an account for Passage Point (our school security visitation system); and information about completing forms on the Genesis Parent Portal in order to receive teacher placement.  Please check the Milford Brook website ( for more information.

I look forward to meeting you and to working with you in the future.
