Blue Ribbon

September 24, 2020

Dear Parents/Guardians of Clark Mills School:

We are thrilled to announce that Clark Mills School has been designated as an Exemplary High Performing National Blue Ribbon School for 2020 by U. S. Secretary of Education Betsy DeVos. Our school is one of 367 schools in the nation and one of nine schools from New Jersey to be recognized in 2020. The recognition is based on a school’s overall academic performance or progress in closing achievement gaps among student subgroups.

In the announcement, Secretary DeVos stated, “Congratulations to this year’s National Blue Ribbon School awardees.  It’s a privilege to recognize the extraordinary work you do to meet students’ needs and prepare them for successful careers and meaningful lives.”

The coveted National Blue Ribbon Schools award affirms the hard work of educators, families, and communities in creating safe and welcoming schools where students master challenging and engaging content. Now in its 38th year, the National Blue Ribbon Schools Program has bestowed almost 10,000 awards to more than 9,000 schools, with some schools winning multiple awards.

We would like to thank our dedicated staff, outstanding students and parents, Dr. Marciante, Dr. Santora, and the Board of Education for their on-going support of our school. We are so proud of this accomplishment and will continue to strive for excellence.
