Mr. Ken Stokum

Hi! I am the 8th Grade School Counselor at MEMS. My primary role is to support all students so that they can be academically successful, socially skilled, and emotionally healthy. The middle school years can be a difficult transitional period for many young people and I help them navigate the challenges they face during this time. As the 8th Grade School Counselor, I also help facilitate the High School application process for those students who are applying to the Freehold Regional High School District's 12 Magnet Programs and the Monmouth County Vocational School District's 5 Career Academies. These programs are designed for students who have a strong interest in a particular career or vocation.

I encourage students and parents to contact me regarding any issue they are concerned about. Students or Parents can email me at and my office is located in the Student Assistance Center aka. "The SAC Office" at MEMS. Students can make appointments to speak with me in any of the following ways: sending me an email, stopping by my office, leaving a note that they need to see me if I am unavailable (there is note holder on my door), or speaking to the SAC Office secretary. Students should always ask their teachers before coming to my office.

I look forward to meeting and working with many students and parents this year and hope that your 8th Grade School Year is the best one yet!
