Child Find Activities
Do you reside within the Manalapan‑Englishtown Regional School District?
Do you have, or know of, a child ages 3–21 who lives in the district and may have communication, learning, physical, or social‑emotional difficulties?
If so, the Manalapan‑Englishtown Regional School District’s Child Find activities can help.
Our Child Find is a community‑wide effort to identify children from ages 3 to 21 who may be in need of, and may qualify for, special education and related services.
All New Jersey public school districts are required to locate, identify, and evaluate children who may be eligible for special education and related services, including preschool children classified as “Preschool Child with a Disability.”
Referral, professional guidance, and, if appropriate, a special education program for children ages 3 to 5 are available at no cost through the Manalapan‑Englishtown Regional School District. We also provide referral information to Early Intervention programs for children from birth to age 3.

This document is a New Jersey state parent brochure titled “Important Milestones: Birth to 36 Months,” produced by the New Jersey Early Intervention System (NJEIS) and the Regional Early Intervention Collaboratives (REICs). It lists typical developmental milestones in social/emotional, movement, hand/finger skills, vision, hearing/speech, language, and cognitive development for children from birth to age 3, and includes “Developmental Health Watch” checklists of warning signs that should prompt discussion with a pediatric provider. The brochure also briefly explains New Jersey’s early intervention eligibility criteria and provides statewide contact information for families who have concerns about their child’s development.
